About the Journal

Focus and scope

The Political Communication Journal is an annual journal of continuous publication of the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Relations of the UANL, which seeks to promote scientific dissemination, the exchange of ideas, reflection and research within the area of political communication.

Although works prepared in the area of political communication will be a priority, the journal will also accept for possible publication works belonging to nearby specialties, such as:

  • Public opinion,
  • Political psychology
  • Political sociology,

As long as a clear communicological approach is observed in these. Special issues proposed by researchers in the field on current topics may be accepted, always under the discretion of the editorial committee, when they address issues related to political communication and that contribute to improving the quality of the journal.


The Political Communication Journal publishes research articles with accredited quality through a rigorous double-blind peer review process. The works must comply with the stipulated general editorial guidelines and can be presented in Spanish or English.

Journal history

The Political Communication Journal was created by official letter dated March 15, 2018, in which the reservation of rights to exclusive use was granted, with number 04-2018-031515142600-203, by the National Copyright Institute of Mexico. ISSN 2992-7714.
